Installing a game on bumbleos_3 from ISO
Installing a Bumblebear Game
Making the Installer Disk
You will need a usb stick that is a minimum of 8GB. The idea is that you will make that your bootup device and install the OS and the game from there. The ISO is the disk image that you will imprint on the usb stick.
You can grab the ISO here
http://wolverine.bumblebeargames.com/bbos3_iso/
U: KQ_2019
P: I<3Kq16
The different games have prefixes
Killer Queen --------------> KQ-YYYY.MM.DD-x86_64.iso
Black Emperor -----------> BE-YYYY.MM.DD-x86_64.iso
Zombeez -----------------> ZZ-YYYY.MM.DD-x86_64.iso
Some browsers will complain about the site not being https and block you from downloading. We are in the process of updating our servers, in the meantime open a private browsing window (incognito) and it will let you through.
You can basically use whatever burning software you want but I recommend Balena Etcher, it's simple to set up, simple to use and just does what you want.
Boot order Keys
Intel NUC F10
Beelink F7
Asus ESC
Restart machine hits the boot order key as it’s booting up and pick either one of the uefi usb options(there will probably be 2). There will be a long loading sequence and then it will ask if you are sure you want to wipe the drive. Say yes. It will do some stuff and reboot. You may want to remove the usb stick at this time, it’s supposed to boot off the hard drive but sometimes it doesn’t. If you left the stick in and you get the same message about wiping the drive, simply remove the stick and reboot again by hitting Ctrl + Alt + Delete. The machine will reboot a few times and then start the game
Flashing the Bumbleboard
If you are running a game using the bumbleboard you may need to flash the board to update to the latest version. If your version of the bumbleboard is 1.0 contact bumblebear.
Log into the computer by hitting CTRL+ALT+F4. You will be prompted for a username and password. This will be emailed to you, do not share it.
Once you are in type
systemctl stop bootgame(return)
Then type
bbtool(return)
You will be presented with a menu pick 0 to flash the board. If it gives an error that it can’t find the board, double click the small button on the board and try again. If that still doesn’t work try option 1 "Attempt Reset". Then try 0 again to flash board.
Once you have flashed the board, type
systemctl start bootgame(return)
The game should work.
BIOS Settings
In order to fully take advantage of our supported computers you will need to set certain parameters in the BIOS, which is the mini operating system under the operating system. Unfortunately every brand and even different models within that brand have a different interface. Hopefully this guide can help you optimize your computer.
